“Reserved two rooms. The first room was large with a sitting area on a high floor BUT it smelled awful, carpet missing under ac unit, and furnishings were worn, old, and in poor repair. The second room was much nicer although much smaller than the other. Had requested rooms together and one was on the 4th floor and one on the 19th. Neither had great views but we were there and had already paid. The elevator system is a little confusing and definitely and odd experience but in a cool way. I will not stay again.”
“If you booked through trip self check in will likely fail because the name won’t be under yours rather it will be under trip.com name, recommend going to manual check in line. Not many ammenities no coffee just some glasses free ice, towels etc. Location is 10/10 first one on the strip so you can go through all MGM resorts in a line reaching the center of the strip. Amazing view from the room showcasing the Excalibur building.”

“We had arrived early Saturday well before check in time and the service desk made it very easy for my wife and I to check our bags in prior to our room being ready, this was so convenient and much appreciated. The hotel was very clean however rhe elevators leave a. It to be desired, they could definitely use some sprucing up as far as cleaning goes and decor, several elevator doors were peeling apart and the floors were filthy. Our room was adequate although when I was prompted to upgrade my room, it showed as being a king size instead I was given two queen size beds which didn't make much sense for my wife and I. Also, the bathroom inside our room was very bare and didn't offer a lot of space or any amenities which was very disappointing. All that being said, we enjoyed our stay as this will become an annual trip for the Run for a Million Horse Reigning Championship at The Southpoint Hotel.”

The Red Elevator tower was dirty, old, and poorly maintained. The carpet in the room was filthy and made the room feel unclean. I would not stay here again unless the property is renovated.”

The issue is the fact that the hotel is majorly understaffed, making some things frustrating if you have a problem. The check-in process was the worst I have ever experienced. The terminal would not scan my ID nor the IDs of the two people next to me... It was just a collective negative energy for everyone. Not a good first impression. My key card did not work on all elevators within my color section, which was annoying.”

“I think it depends on the timing, but the check-in line (about 7 groups) was slow to move, and I got tired of standing in line for about 30 minutes. There were several Starbucks and food shops within the hotel, so I was able to relieve myself without having to go out. The bed and shower room in the room are clean. Although it was inconvenient that there was no refrigerator in the room, I was satisfied with the size, price, and cleanliness of the room.”

I called guest services and was on hold for about 15 minutes and I informed them of the issue. I wait almost an hour and no one came.
